Areas of Focus

Pursuing research in Indian Sciences and Technologies requires competency in both Science and Sanskrit in order to unearth the content of various scientific texts in Sanskrit. Professor Ramasubramanian has already produced several scholars and many more are in the pipeline.

To assess and appreciate the Indian contributions to Science, it is crucial to produce critical editions, translations and detailed mathematical explanatory notes. Professor Ramasubramanian is committed to bringing forth high-quality publications.

Research material pertaining to Indian Sciences and Technologies remain scattered across several libraries. Professor Ramasubramanian has launched major efforts to provide access to source texts, secondary texts and journal papers all at one place.

In order to scale up the digitization and preservation of Sanskrit texts, Prof. Ramasubramanian has invested efforts in enhancing the efficiency of tools with emerging technologies such as OCR, Speech Recognition, Speech Synthesis and Machine Learning.
