Prof. K. Ramasubramanian's Vision for Research

The continuous quest and insatiable thirst that Indians had for knowledge resulted in the creation of a huge corpus of literature in diverse disciplines such as astronomy, mathematics, medicine, logic, arts, linguistics and so on. Unfortunately, this literature has remained neglected and scantily studied as History of Science is yet to become a part of academic discipline in our institutes of higher learning.

Prof. K. Ramasubramanian, along with his collaborators, dedicated group of research scholars and students are dedicated to promote high-quality research in the vast scientific literature in Sanskrit. They persevere to bring to fore India’s rich scientific heritage by way of offering courses as well as training scholars to pursue serious research in various scientific disciplines.

Prof. K. Ramasubramanian also aims at creating a relevant technological ecosystem that aids the process of collection, preservation and digitisation of books, articles and manuscripts pertaining to ancient scientific literature and their dissemination in various forms.
